Meadows Library blog 2nd Semester 2008
This year, you will write at least one paragraph every night that you had a Library Media Aide class during the day. The purpose for this assignment is to strengthen your descriptive writing skills and provide a record for yourself, your parents and for me about what you do each day during this class. I prefer 3 paragraphs of well-written, correctly spelled descriptive record of what you did during your Library Media Aide class. This blog participation is one rubric for this class. The more that you write the higher your grade will be in the class.

Today in media aide we had a sub so we just checked in a BUNCH of books and then we had to put stips in a few. Then, Ms. Dubin let us blog.

Today we had a substitute again. We checked in and out some books. After checking in some books we had to magnetize them and make sure they worked. Some of them didn't so we had to keep trying. Then, there was nothing else to do so we blogged.
Sub today and last week! Checked in and out books. Helped the sub out. Where were you?

I had a sub again today. I renewed one of my books.
Today in Media Aide I started out by taping two books. Then I put them on the shelves and waited a little bit. after that she said to go blog so that is what I and doing now.
Today, we were recording what books the library bought from the book fair. They were all out of whack so I tried to straighten them out, but they were very messed up. Then I got to where I am right now. At least Ms. Roof was here today. See you next time.
Today in media aide we just helped out with the books on putting them away. Then we took all the check in books and put them through the scanner then back in their places. Next we checked out a couple of books and that is it!

Today in meadia aide we had to check in about 10 books each, and there is three of us, so that was a lot of books. After we were done doing that, we put them away. After that, we put the books on the shelf and put them where they belong. That is about all we did today.

Today in media aide, we started by taping some books. Then we laminated some book covers and creased them. Now I am blogging and the period is alomost over.
Today, we did what could be called if it were a movie "REVENGE OF THE TAPING 3!"
After we taped, we put some covers in the laminator. Some "crazy lady" came in and kept asking "is the plastic running out?!?" Then we put the covers on the books they belong to and now I am here blogging.
Today in media ais (5/5/08), we played on the computers, we checked in and out some books, but Ms. Roof wasn't in the room

Today in media aide we first checked in books and put them on the right carts. then we put all the referance books on the cart away.Next we cut out posters that ahd been laminated and put tape on the barcodes of some books and then tape on the inside to keep the cover down. Now we get to play on the computer and blog till the bell rings.

Today in meadia aide we had to tape about ten books each, and put them in a pile once they were done. After that Katie and I put all the books where they belonged. It was kinda hard because we had to take the end books out so the new ones could fit. It took a while, but afterwards, we got to blog and play games.

Today I checked in books, magnatized them, walked them through the security system, and then I had to put them away. I also had to put on the spine labels. It was fun because it was my first time putting spine labels on.

Today in media aide, we first checked in a couple books. Then we put tattle tape on some other books. Now we are blogging.
Today, we checked in the books and put strips in some other ones. That is always fun. They were all Disney, so that was weird. We saw that play today (It was HORRIBLE) and I got to come in the library at lunch. Now I am here. That was all that happened.

Today I checked in books, magnetized them, walked them through the security system, last I put them on their shelves. Today was another fun day at the book fair. It was awesome.
In media aid I checked in some books. Then I checked in magazines. After that I replaced the old ones with the new ones. Then I put away the old magazines.

It was kind of hard thought because the c.d. wouldn't go in so i had to take it out then put it back in and it was like 8:01. so I was kind of late with that. Then i checked in some books. Then there wasn't anything to do so I went on the computer and started doing somehtng for my english class. Then a class came in so I helped Mrs. Dubin check in the books.
I did overdue books and put them away.

Today in Media Aide we put some tattle tape on a bunch of books. Some of the books where already done so we got to do like 10 less.
Today all we did was put magnetic strips in all the books. It isn't the funnest thing in the world, but it's better than taping or passing out from Sharpie fumes.
Today in media aide i put this stuff on books os it could be shipped out to get a hard cover. and thats what i did.

Today in media aide we checked in a few books. After checking in the books, we did this thing where you have to put covers on the books. It is a weird thing where you have to like put a plastic wrap on it and it has to go on it perfectly. You have to do a lot of work for it, but overall afterwards it looks nice!

Today in Media Aid, I laminated book covers and then put them on the book, but apparently Ms. Roof wasn't pleased with our work that we did because we didn't finish. I think I worked hard but I guess it wasn't good enough, and at some point I had to leave class and go with a teacher that pulled me out of class to get something straight.

Today, we taped on some lables. We also put books on the shelf. It was a lot of hard work. You get bored of that type of thing fast. I have way too much that I have to do over the weekend. I'm glad this class doesn't have homework. Right now, this is my favorite class in school.
Last time I didn't blog so I am doing it now. Two days ago in Medai Aide, we first helped by taping some books. The nwe cataloged.

Tnhis blog is for yesterday. So, yesterday in Media Aide, we first helped by checking in some books. Then we restoredsome of them. After that we laminated some covers.

Today in Media Aid we learned how to use this portable scanner thing to check in books on the shelf and make sure they were all there! Then we took turns until they were finished. While we were waiting for our turn to come we took down posters because it is getting to the end of the year now and we need to clean up.

Today we put covers on books that needed them. They were all very old. I had to be careful wiht them.
Today we did inventory. It was very fun. We scanned the books with this cool little machine. It is sad that the year is almost over.

Today in Media Aide we checked in books. We magnetized some and if they needed it we added the magnetizer sticker in them. We added it in and then we checked out books.
First post of the year! Today we showed the kids who are new to media aide how to blog. I am excited that I got the whole schedual problem fixed. I hope this year goes well. We didn't do much today. Longer classes are great! I am not a big fan of LA, Math, etc.
